I was lucky enough to be sent this brilliant book by Quarto Publishing, the book written by Christian Coates (the Brains behind Soulmate foods) If you havent heard of this company, please click the link below for some info.
The book opens up with a lovely page on categorising foods into three simple sections. Burn – Balance and Build.
Burn being – Burn fat – body fat and tone up
Balance being – Maintaining weight and keeping in good shape
Build being – Lean muscle growth and body fuelling.
Straight away I am gripped, as its very apparent that this book has been thought about for a long time, in order to make it stand out from the crowd of other food literature.
Everything is broken down into simple digestible pages of information, nothings hard to understand and it spells out the fact that eating healthy really isn’t rocket science. We just have to look at how our body digests foods rather than looking at a pretty plate of food, eating it and not understanding the effects it has on your body.
In a nutshell, this book covers my whole outlook on what I teach on YouTube and follows the same pattern in recipes I create for Hastes Kitchen.
If you have a chance to get a hold of this book, do so! It has countless pages of beautifully presented, healthy food, nicely photographed and super easy to follow recipes.
